Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Suzy Kopf currently lives and works in Baltimore, MD and Brooklyn, NY. She graduated from The New School University with a BFA in Fine Arts from Parsons and a BA in Art History from Eugene Lang College. She is the recipient of several residency fellowships including VCCA, Byrdcliffe, Hambidge, Elsewhere and the Vermont Studio Center. She was the 2012 RAW Brooklyn Visual Artist of the Year and received a Design History Society Travel Grant as well as several graduate research grants. She was the Denbo Fellow at Pyramid Atlantic in March of 2016. She will be the Jordan Faye Contemporary artist-in-residence for the 2016-7 season. She has shown throughout the United States and is in private collections on five continents.

As of June 2016, she is completing her MFA in Studio Art at the Maryland Institute College of Art. She is the co-founder, creative director and curator of the Gowanus Swim Society, a Brooklyn, NY based art collective.

Justin Hoekstra grew up in LaGrange Park, IL. He moved to Vermont when he was 23 after working one too many jobs where he was not feeling fulfilled. He attended the Community College of Vermont in order to further his career in art. He transferred to University of Vermont graduating with multiple honors in 2012. Hoekstra received his MFA from the Hoffberger School of Painting at MICA. Hoekstra has attended numerous residencies, been awarded multiple fellowships and has been included in solo and group exhibitions nationwide. His work is held in public and private collections throughout the U.S.A. He is currently living and working in Baltimore, Maryland.

Alexander Jarman is an artist, educator, and curator living in Baltimore, Maryland. The opportunity to make art is just as important to him as the responsibility to serve the art community. Jarman is currently Manager of Adult and Community Outreach Programs at the Walters Art Museum. He has worked as an adjunct professor at Point Loma Nazarene University and as Manager of Public Programs for the San Diego Museum of Art where he also organized shows. Jarman proudly served as a Board Member at SDSpace4Art in the East Village in San Diego. As an artist, he has exhibited at Helmuth Projects, Canvas Gallery, Bread and Salt, and Mesa College Art Gallery in San Diego and Jordan Faye Contemporary in Baltimore.

Kellee Wynne Conrad was brought up from a long line of artists in California. For years, Kellee worked in the design industry: being published, creating trade product, and running workshops. Then one day she found herself with the overwhelming desire to go back to her roots in fine art. Now settled in Maryland, Kellee is a painter and recent artist of the Thrive residency program at Jordan Faye Contemporary. Her work includes acrylic painting and mixed media. Conrad has work in numerous collections throughout the mid-Atlantic region and continues to exhibit her work and curate both in Baltimore and Annapolis

 

 

 

Elizabeth Bawol is an artist and creative director with a passion for social design. She leads a global team of graphic designers, freelancers and outside agencies on a variety of projects for Planned Parenthood. She studied painting as an under- graduate at MICA and the Center for Advanced Art and Culture in Aix-en-Provence, France. She holds a Master’s degree in Community Arts from MICA. She completed an AmeriCorps residency in 2009, and she has worked with disadvantaged communities in Baltimore on art, design and media projects. She has exhibited at a variety of galleries in Baltimore including: the Creative Alliance, Gallery Imperato, and Jordan Faye Contemporary.
