Lori Larusso was born in Massillon, Ohio. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati's College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning with a Bachelors Degree in the Fine Arts, and a minor in Women's Studies. She continued to earn a Master's Degree in the Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art's graduate interdisciplinary program, the Mount Royal School of Art. Lori has worked in the community as an advocate for reproductive rights, and as an adjunct professor of drawing, as well as maintaining a solid studio practice. She exhibits her work locally, nationally and internationally. Lori was recently awarded a Visual Artist Fellowship from the MacDowell Colony, an Artist Enrichment Grant from the Kentucky Foundation for Women, and is a Milton and Sally Avery Fellow for 2010-2011. Solo and group exhibitions are scheduled throughout 2013. Larusso has had two Solo Exhibitions with Jordan Faye Contemporary in 2008 (Leisurely Concern) and in 2010 (Domestic Insecurities, Necessary Delights) and has been showing with Ms. Block since 2004. Lori Larusso currently lives in Lexington, Kentucky.
